No. The material in WaterWipes is made from 20% Viscose and 80% Polyester, because of this, only 20% of the wipe material is biodegradable.

My WaterWipes feel slightly dry, what can I do about this?

Because WaterWipes don’t use chemicals to "bind" the liquid to the wipes, the water can sometimes migrate to the bottom of the pack. To remedy this, with the sticker properly resealed, turn your pack of WaterWipes upside down and then gently squeeze and massage the pack for a few seconds. This will quickly redistribute the water more evenly throughout the pack, and get the wipes back to the same consistent wetness that they had when they were made in our cleanroom process.

If you are storing your wipes for some time, we recommend you the packs label-side down before use.

Are WaterWipes flushable?

No. We recommend you do not flush any wipes.

My Midwife recommends cotton wool and water for the first few weeks. Can I use WaterWipes instead?

Yes. When a baby is born, its skin is much thinner than an adult’s and therefore more delicate. Because of this, Midwife Margaret Merrigan Feenan recommends you use cotton wool and water OR WaterWipes.

How do WaterWipes clean?

WaterWipes contain water and grapefruit seed extract. Water is nature’s natural cleanser and moisturiser which is why Midwife Margaret Merrigan Feenan recommends cotton wool and water OR WaterWipes. Grapefruit seed extract also helps to maintain good skin condition.

Do WaterWipes have an expiry date

Like all natural products, WaterWipes have an expiry date. We recommend opening within fifteen months of the production date and using the pack within one month of opening. The production date and expiry date is printed on the back of the pack.

My baby has nappy rash – can I still use WaterWipes?

Yes. WaterWipes do not contain ingredients that could further irritate your baby’s delicate skin. WaterWipes are not a cure for nappy rash – but importantly they don’t contain the ingredients that can cause or exacerbate nappy rash.

Yes. WaterWipes contain 99.9% Water and a drop of Grapefruit seed extract. Many people used WaterWipes between bathing times as they are more gentle on a baby’s skin.

Can I put WaterWipes in a wipe warmer/wipe dispenser?

No. We do not recommend that WaterWipes are removed from their pack and transferred to any another container, nor should the pack be over-warmed. They are a fresh product and should be stored in a cool dry place. We recommend WaterWipes are used within 4 weeks of opening.
